Welcome to the Design Barn!

I’m Deb, a mom of 2 living in the great state of Kansas. By day, I’m a repair engineer for a business aircraft manufacturing company. And by night, I am Queen Mommy, ruler of our urban 4-bedroom home.

The Design Barn began after several years building my retail embroidery business.  Although I have been sewing and crafting since the early 80's, I purchased my first embroidery machine and took over the spare bedroom in 2014. I posted some of my embroidery creations on my Facebook page and immediately had friends asking me to create for them. My love of sewing was reignited and embroidery now keeps me as busy as I want to be. 

Creating new designs for others to stitch and enjoy is the next step in my journey.  I'm so glad you're here and hope you find something that makes you smile when you see it come off your machine.
